What is the Campaign About?

The New River Renewal Campaign was started by local residents who live in Woodberry Down, who were unhappy about the state of the New River and the New River Path and its impact on wildlife and people:

Local residents should not have to continuously raise issues about the safety and quality of our local environment.

Thames Water and the London Borough of Hackney and the London Borough of Haringey must take responsibility for keeping the river and the riverbank a clean and safe environment for wildlife and for people who want to enjoy walking by the river.
